Mark was educated at the universities of Kent, Nottingham and Utrecht before training as a director at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama. He later trained intensively at the Atlantic Theater Company's Acting School in New York City.

He spent his early career as a theatre director before moving into actor coaching. He has employed his acting coaching skills to empower a range of clients to achieve their goals in the field of acting.

He has successfully coached many young people to receive competitive places at some of the UK's top drama schools. He was recently awarded a £15,000 scholarship from Shed Productions to re-train as a television dramatist and add another string to his bow.

Mark teaches the principles of pragmatism with a common sense technique called Practical Aesthetics. This approach to acting has many parallels with NLP and other coaching techniques and can be effectively used to coach actors, directors, writers and professionals in the business sector.

Mark is a regular blogger and experienced content and copywriter, he also owns WritingEngine, a professional content and copywriting provider.
