Key competences in personal change, managing relationships,  emotional intelligence  and building high  performance teams

Thanks for taking the time to look at my coaching profile. I expect you are either interested in seeking a coach for yourself or you might alternatively be researching coaches on behalf of someone else who needs one or more. Either way you will want to choose the right one and also to get a 'feel' of a person before working with them. I hope you find some of what you are looking for in my profile and that you will then feel completely free to contact me for a no-obligation and free conversation - I would certainly recommend talking to any potential coach before engaging their services. In the meantime, here are some answers to four important questions you may have about me:

Q1. Who is 'Julian Shreeve', Executive Coach?

1. I am a 'people-development professional' and I have shown dedication, versatility and determination in helping individuals and teams grow and improve over the last 20 years.

2. I am a Graduate, having graduated with Honours from a Combined Studies degree which included Psychology.

3. I am a Careers Counsellor, having worked for three different UK Careers Services qualifying in the process as a Vocational Guidance Counsellor (DIP. CG) - helping people of all ages make key decisions on career transitions or enhancements.

4. I am commercially tuned, having worked in a global communications company then for a global management consultancy as a Management Development Consultant, meeting customers from all business functions and designing and running the widest range of learning experiences for their people, both in the UK and overseas. This included 1:1 coaching of around 120 people at middle and senior management/ professional level.

5. I am a business Director, running my own people-development business and working as an Executive Coach, change-agent and team facilitator with a wide range of clients, e.g. satellite television, tele' and mobile communications, national health services, conservation organisations, global electronics company, global engineering consultants, and international management consultants. I work in the UK and overseas.

6. I am a trusted supplier, having won Preferred Supplier status as an Executive Coach to management and professionals within the UK's current largest communications company - a sign of great trust in and commitment to my coaching services.

7. I am a qualified and experienced 'psychometrician', with the expertise to deploy a wide range of well-respected psychometric instruments to individuals and groups - knowing these can be extremely helpful in a coaching context too.

8. I am a qualified NLP Master Practitioner, and I find NLP is often wonderful in helping coachees achieve their goals.

9. I am human, and not a 'corporate stereotype' - so building a mutually agreed honest relationship is important to me when coaching.

Q2. What type of people have I been working with?

People most probably a lot like you. Managers and professionals in private and public sectors, occupying roles in operational management, IT, finance, customer service, HR, sales, marketing, strategy and other business functions; from Directors to first-line managers; some with people responsibilities for large or small teams, some with no direct reports at all but who have matrix or project responsibilities instead.

All of them have a few things in common: they enjoy areas of great skill, accomplishment and confidence and yet they also have specific areas which they need to improve upon greatly or just tune up.

Q3. What types of issues have my coachees been working on?

Improving working relationships, leadership and people management, performance management and motivation, team building and team maintenance, change and transformation, personal assertiveness, presentation effectiveness, influence and persuasion, managing time and priorities, personal confidence and gravitas.

Q4. What do I do now having just read this profile?
Telephone me on the number supplied and we can discuss your requirements without any obligation or cost to you. I can supply a reference from a past coachee if this turns out to be important to you in the future. I look forward to hearing from you.
